Change the default file type for saved Redlines

If you're using...

Workshare Professional/Compare 9, 8

If you’re using Workshare Compare 9 and you save a Redline from Compare, by default it will be saved as a PDF. If you’re using an earlier version of Compare, by default it will be saved as a Workshare DeltaFile (.WDF). 

You can use the Workshare Configuration Manager to change the default file type to any of the following:
  • Rich Text Format (.rtf)
  • Microsoft Word (.doc)
  • Microsoft Word (.docx)
  • Text Only (.txt)
  • Portable Document Format (.pdf)

To do change the default file type of saved Redlines:
  1. Launch the Workshare Configuration Manager.
  2. From the Integrations category, select General.

  1. Change the parameter Set default format when saving... select your file format.
