Scenario
An exception is thrown when installing Workshare 9.5 using the MSI. This can cause confusion if Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 is already installed.Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 might already be installed, but the build (likely 14.0.23026.0) is lower than the build shipped with Workshare 9.5, triggering the Professional.msi to throw the exception.
Resolution
This issue can be resolved by running the vc_redist x86 or vc_redist x64 in order to upgrade the Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 to the acceptable build required for Workshare 9.5.If, however, this is not the case, please contact the Workshare support team (support@workshare.com).
