Issues in OpenText eDOCS DM when screen resolution is higher than 100%

Scenario

We are aware of an issue where OpenText eDOCS DM becomes unusable when Workshare 9.5 is installed and the Windows screen resolution is set higher than 100%. 

Investigations have shown that this issue only occurs in Windows 7 operating systems and when you have added WDF as a file type in the OpenText Application Management console.

Note: A WDF file (Workshare DeltaFile) can only be created and opened by Workshare Compare. A saved WDF file contains the original, modified and redline document, as well as your “Accept” and “Flag” selections from Workshare Compare.

Workshare and OpenText are working together to understand the root cause of the issue and provide a solution, under references CR01110207 and DM-43041 respectively.

1. Change the screen resolution (found in the Windows display settings) to 100% or lower. Find out how.

2. Remove the WDF file type from the Application Management console on the OpenText server by following these steps:
   1. On the DM Server, open Library Maintenance.
   2. Ensure there is no application configured with WDF as the Default Extension.
   3. Ensure there is no launch method pointing to DeltaVw.exe. 
   4. Close Library Maintenance.
   5. On all client machines, delete the entire default cache folder, stored here: %appdata%\OpenText\DM\Cache\Default 

1. Workshare Compare will no longer appear under Applications in Windows DM Explorer. 
2. Workshare Compare will not be available as a launch method in OpenText eDocs DM. You will receive a "No valid launch method is found" error when opening any WDF file from the OpenText eDocs DM server. However, these files can still be opened by launching Compare and browsing for the WDF file.
